Each stage is inspectable. Nothing is inferred from a source that did not answer, and nothing is written that a retrieved record does not support.
Departure, destination, planned time and cruise altitude resolve into a corridor. Your pilot profile, aircraft and personal minimums attach to it. Everything downstream is evaluated against that frame instead of a generic one.

Weather products are pulled from the Aviation Weather Center at analyze time. Terrain elevations are sampled along the corridor. NOTAM sources are consulted where configured. Anything that fails to answer is marked unavailable — never quietly assumed clear.

The composite engine scores each factor 0–100 by fixed rules, then combines them under published base weights. When a factor has no data its weight redistributes across the rest and the confidence figure drops where you can see it.
NTSB investigation records near the route are retrieved by proximity and weighted by distance and recency. These are historical investigations — decades of completed work — surfaced so you can study the pattern, not predict your flight.

A language model drafts the briefing that explains what the deterministic engine found, citing the retrieved records behind each claim. It cannot change the number, add a factor, or produce a claim with no source underneath it.
Weather is the leading driver of this assessment. The retrieved KPWM terminal forecast holds a broken layer near 2,300 ft through your arrival window, below the 3,000 ft ceiling minimum stored in your profile.
